Contrary to the popular belief, Love and Hate are actually not that opposite to each other.
But somewhat just the same!
While one is infamous for conquering the heart, the other wickedly takes over the head!
Though both may interchange forms over time, but neither ever gets uprooted completely.
It remains inside, perhaps, in the form of a trodden and ignored seed, powerful enough to storm in all the memories and emotions of a time so lost with the tiniest encounter of repressed situations.
Probably, apathy would be a better opposite to love…
Nicely penned.

Food for thought. I often replace the word “love” with “compassion.” Apathy could be the opposite of that too.

Yes.. indeed. I couldn’t agree more!

Hate is love gone bad. Opposite of love is apathy.

‘Love gone bad!’
I like the metaphor. Hate is just a more bitter form of love.

We all can have our own definitions of love but no one will ever agree to the other one. How can we find anonym of the word?
Anyway, nicely written. Could’ve been better into a poetry. Try it!

Thanks Archee.. I appreciate your remark. But it was just a late night thought.
However, do ponder over it.
